Overview Region II has 70 employees. This Region supervises adult felons who live in the Albuquerque Metropolitan area. The average caseload for these officers is between 85 and 125 per officer, due to vacancies. The Pre-Sentence Report Unit prepares Pre-Sentence Reports (PSR) for the Judges in the Second Judicial District. The Community Corrections districts supervise higher need offenders i.e., sex offenders and other offenders with mental health issues, that require a level of services greater than standard supervision offers. Funding is provided for housing, drug counseling, sex offender treatment, individual therapy and group sessions. The Transitional Reporting Center (TRC) is the region's intake and processing district. In addition to the systematic review and classification of new cases coming to the region, the district, through a vendor contract, provides immediate counseling and housing services to meet the pressing needs of offenders at the outset of their supervision.
